Patient Account Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Representative - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve patient accounts in a timely manner through effective follow-up on claims and remittance reviews
• Research and document account activities, including contacting third-party payors and patients
• Maintain productivity goals while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
• 1-4 years of medical claims and/or hospital collections experience
• Basic knowledge of Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance
• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Typing requirement of 45 wpm minimum
