Payment Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payment Recovery Specialist - Out of State Billing (Medicaid) to manage claims and ensure compliance with billing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve billed claims and denials, including initial contact with payers
• Document account activity and manage correspondence from insurance companies
• Issue appeal letters and follow up on all appeals, payments, and denials

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Hospital Patient Accounting systems and billing processes
• Strong knowledge of insurance types and administrative guidelines
• Understanding of hospital revenue cycle and payment methodologies
• Familiarity with electronic billing software
• Knowledge of state policies regarding eligibility and claims processing
