Payroll Manager

Job Summary

Owning end-to-end payroll operations, the full-time salaried Payroll Manager will manage full-cycle payroll processing, ensure multi-state compliance, and serve as a liaison between Finance and the People team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full payroll cycle for all US and international employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
• Administer payroll operations within Rippling HCM, including pay runs, tax setup, and employee data integrity
• Lead payroll compliance across all US states, managing year-end processes and responding to payroll-related inquiries

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience with full ownership of multi-state payroll cycles
• Hands-on experience with Rippling HCM
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance requirements across all US states, particularly California, New York, Texas, and Florida
• Experience working cross-functionally between People/HR and Finance teams
• Solid understanding of payroll accounting concepts and experience processing commission and bonus payouts
