Job Summary
A company is looking for a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to conduct member substance misuse assessments and develop recovery plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct member assessments and develop recovery and treatment plans using motivational interviewing techniques
- Assist members in creating behavioral routines and empower them through self-advocacy
- Identify and connect members with community resources that support their recovery goals
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma / GED required
- 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations with complex bio-psychosocial needs
- Peer Recovery Support Certification required
- 60 contact and training hours in peer recovery-focused education and training
- Six hours of ethics education and training within the last six years
