Pennsylvania Licensed Weight Management Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

To support a growing medical weight management program, the part-time Pennsylvania Licensed Weight Management Nurse Practitioner will conduct virtual patient evaluations and follow-up visits, collaborate with healthcare providers, and help develop clinical workflows and protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive 40-minute initial patient evaluations and 20-minute follow-up visits focused on medication management
• Evaluate patients for appropriate GLP-1 therapy and prescribe medications within scope of practice
• Collaborate closely with referring Primary Care Providers and Registered Dietitians to coordinate individualized care plans

Required qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification (FNP, AGNP, or Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP preferred)
• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in applicable states or willingness to obtain additional state licensure
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• Experience managing patients with obesity or metabolic disease
• Knowledge of GLP-1 receptor agonists and other anti-obesity medications
