PPR GEP Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Peste des Petits Ruminants Global Eradication Programme (PPR-GEP) Specialist with several profiles.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the implementation of the PPR control strategy and small ruminant production
• Assist in organizing PPR GEP events and managing data and online resources for the Secretariat
• Conduct socio-economic analyses and develop training materials related to small ruminant value chains and gender integration

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• For Category B: Advanced university degree in epidemiology, microbiology, or related fields; Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree is desirable
• For Category C: Bachelor's degree in gender, sociology, anthropology, or related fields; Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine is desirable
• At least five years of related work experience for Category B and two years for Category C
• Working knowledge of one FAO languages: Arabic, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, or Russian
