Pre-Certification Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pre-Certification Coordinator (Remote) to perform professional services related to medical pre-certification processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiates and facilitates the pre-determination process for insurance verification
• Maintains daily surgery/procedure schedules and communicates with physicians regarding their schedules
• Documents and logs all pre-certifications and notifies relevant departments of their status

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• 3 years of work experience in a medical office setting
• No specific certifications required
• Associate degree preferred
• Certifications such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) are a plus
