Primary Care Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Primary Care Clinic Coding Specialist II to accurately code various medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately code evaluation and management, surgery, emergency room, and other services
• Complete daily records and reports related to coding activities
• Identify trends and potential issues in coding and communicate with the coding manager

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of relevant coding experience in healthcare settings
• Possession of a recognized coding certification (e.g., CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, or CCS-P)
• Understanding of healthcare billing practices and compliance
• Knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement systems, including Medicare policies
