Job Summary
A company is looking for a Principal Computational Research Scientist responsible for managing large-scale computational research projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary computational research projects with minimal supervision
- Develop research strategies and oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Mentor research staff and publish findings in high-impact journals
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- 13+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 11+ years with a Master's, or 8+ years with a PhD
- Proven experience directing complex research studies and driving results through a team
- Track record of publishing 5-6 first author papers or equivalent contributions
- Experience mentoring early-career researchers
