Principal Data Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the future of data, the full-time remote Principal Data Engineer will lead the design and evolution of a next-generation data platform, managing high-scale data pipelines and ensuring robust data foundations across multiple business domains.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and evolution of the data platform using technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, and Kafka
• Build and optimize high-scale batch, ELT, and near-real-time data pipelines for business intelligence, experimentation, and machine learning
• Mentor data engineers and drive an AI-first mindset while establishing durable platform patterns and governance

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, preferably in high-scale environments
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt
• Proven experience designing and building modern data platforms at scale
• Experience with batch and near-real-time data pipelines and streaming architectures
• Technical leadership capability with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
