Principal Network Engineer
Job Summary
To lead the design and implementation of network modernization, the contract-based Principal Network Engineer will engage in deploying complex network solutions, enhancing security protocols, and monitoring performance, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate on the design and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-availability network solutions
- Work with security teams to enforce and enhance network security protocols, including ZTNA and firewalls
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for network architecture and design
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 4 years in a principal or senior engineer role
- Profound understanding of IP protocols (IPv4/IPv6), BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPNs
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, ZTNA, and SASE
- In-depth knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls and encryption
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers in a collaborative environment
