Principal Security Data Engineer

Job Summary

Building the data backbone of a security control plane, the full-time Principal Security Data Engineer will design and operate data pipelines, lakes, and analytics to ensure a trustworthy security state for a large GPU fleet, working remotely or onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate ingestion and transformation pipelines to normalize security telemetry from various sources
• Architect and manage a data lake/lakehouse that accommodates diverse data formats and structures
• Develop the analytics layer for posture scoring and multi-source correlation while ensuring data security and integrity

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically building production data pipelines and lakes at scale
• Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or SQL
• Proven experience in designing canonical data models that evolve without breaking dependencies
• Hands-on expertise with modern data stacks, including streaming and batch processing
• Understanding of security-focused data handling, including access control, encryption, and audit mechanisms
