Job Summary
A company is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join their Vertical Market Operations Team in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify purchase requisitions and recommend alternatives based on cost or lead time issues
- Prepare and issue purchase orders while managing online databases of materials ordered, received, and delivered
- Negotiate costs with vendors and track orders to ensure consistency with commitment dates
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of previous experience in a purchasing environment
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related coursework
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain exceptional customer focus
