Referral Medical Authorization Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Referral & Medical Authorization Coordinator to process referral requests and obtain necessary authorizations for patient services.

Key Responsibilities

• Process referral requests for all providers within the clinic module
• Obtain referral/authorization numbers for specialty and ancillary testing services
• Ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating access to necessary patient services

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in obtaining healthcare pre-authorizations in Radiation Oncology
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT classification systems
• Experience in a physician practice or hospital setting with patient registration and insurance knowledge
• Experience with third-party payors required
