Part-time Bookkeeper

Summary
This is not an entry-level position. You MUST have at least 2 years experience working remotely and 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper for a small business owner.
The business processes just under 2,900 total transactions per calendar year.
This is a remote position, so you can work anywhere in the United States / during Eastern Time business hours. We communicate via email, text, and phone.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Conduct monthly credit card reconciliations (1 credit account)
Conduct monthly bank statement reconciliations (4 bank accounts)
Complete Accounts Receivable (A/R) follow-up on open invoices
Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) in QBO to assist with improved cash flow management
Complete invoice reconciliation (10-15 jobs weekly) with third-party billing software, HouseCall Pro, and resolve any integration errors
Complete payroll reconciliation (4 employees) with third-party payroll software, ADP, and create journal entries for employee pre-tax healthcare
Conduct year-end journal entry planning with Accountant and communicate back to owner
Develop and maintain system for receipt and invoice document management
Manage Chart of Accounts for proper Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet financial reporting
Collaborate with Accountant to prepare annual 1099's
Tax payments

Knowledge & Skills
Must use Quickbooks Online (QBO) proficiently; at least 4 years of experience using the program
Ability to manage multiple cloud-based QBO integrations including third-party billing software, (HouseCall Pro) and third-party payroll software (ADP)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software integration issues
Comfortable managing Accountant relationship for year-end reporting and miscellaneous requests
Ability to set up and document new systems and processes in order to streamline financial reporting
Ability to quickly learn new software applications
Willingness to learn basic industry terminology to help enable smooth communications
Ability to solve tasks with minimal guidance

Education and Experience
At least 5 years experience as a bookkeeper for a small business owner
Comfortable with cash-based accounting
Perfectionist, super attention to detail
Trustworthy with strong personal integrity
Exceptional ability to communicate progress on tasks
Highly organized and efficient
Forward-thinker who can proactively handle circumstances and situations to head off any crisis situations
Top notch communication via email and phone
Since this is a virtual position, must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal oversight
Must be comfortable developing and working in a virtual relationship, and having a limited amount of face-time
