Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable - Real Estate Transaction Adjustments Specialist primary responsibility is to research settled/paid transactions verifying the accuracy of all STA(s) (short term advances) by reviewing commission payments that are either over, under or correct before contacting agents to reconcile the file with a goal to organically increase the collections effort of outstanding real estate receivables.

Major Functions:

Knowledge in real estate terminology with the ability to pick up eXp lingo quickly
Research transactions by reviewing all online platforms
Verify the accuracy of payments, initial transaction setup and short term advances
Communicate clearly through extensive emailing explaining the reason behind each collection
Call Agents and/or Title companies to determine discrepancies
Ability to calculate commissions manually and through our online accounting system
Work with Brokers, Payment Processing and Accounting staff on write offs where appropriate.
Review and update relevant issues in Zoho A/R ticketing channel
Document all discussions and interactions within Intacct accounting system.
Confident and professional phone skills to collect past due amounts.
Ability to keep all interactions professional, positive and quickly to the point.
Ability and willingness to escalate past due items to the appropriate Manager for resolution.
Daily reporting of efforts and results.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED required.

Experience:

Real Estate experience and knowledge needed
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; especially Excel.
Experience with Google Suite strongly preferred
Ability to learn new technology easily required.
Must have a kind, understanding personality with the courage to collect debts
Excellent customer service and communication skills required
