Job Summary
A media, branding, and technology company is seeking a Remote Associate Editor.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Assigning and editing shopping content under the guidance of the deputy editor, as well as writing a few stories each week
- Working on assignments including fashion, beauty, grooming, wellness, fitness, home & design, deals, or general lifestyle content
- Concepting a newsletter and/or column and building a following around it
Qualifications for this position include:
- Demonstrated lifestyle generalist or has expertise in fashion, beauty, grooming, wellness, fitness, home & design, or deals
- Demonstrated impeccable writing and editing skills and instincts
- Prior experience writing product guides and/or reviews
- A strong understanding of SEO and user intent as it pertains to shopping content, as well as experience with commerce content
- Demonstrated to have an appropriate taste level; be able to curate products for the company audience
- Ability to work with a diversity and inclusion committee to create a database of BIPOC businesses for coverage and future coverage
