Job Summary

A mass media company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Associate Overnight Editor.

Must be able to:

  • Assign stories for day to day news coverage
  • Approve and reject pitches from reporters and editors
  • Work quickly in breaking news situations to help our news team be fast and precise

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in news: digital or TV
  • Prior experience with digital analytics (Chartbeat, Adobe Analytics etc) to monitor, build traffic
  • Prior management experience preferred: overseeing a team of reporters & editors
  • Experience using content management systems
  • Knowledge of AP style, exceptional knowledge of current events & politics
  • Strong SEO and social media skills
