Job Summary
A university is filling a position for a Remote Astronomy Observing Specialist.
Must be able to:
- Exercise proficiency with telescopes, instruments, and software packages
- Obtain astronomical data for science and engineering purposes
- Manage and oversee acquisition and evaluation of astronomical data
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Must be an undergraduate student at the school
- Must have advanced proficiency with the principles and practices of telescopes and instruments
- Must have taken and excelled at Physics 155
- Must have mastered concepts of observational astronomy and telescope operation
- Must have served as Astronomy Outreach Event Assistant
