Job Summary
A private non-profit manufacturing organization that provides diverse employment opportunities for visually impaired individuals is in need of a Buyer BSC in Lakewood.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Gathering technical data and/or detailed product specifications
- Providing and facilitating outstanding communication to in store personnel as well as customers in regards to special requests
- Tracking special order requests from start to completion
Qualifications for this position include:
- AA degree or CPM certification required
- 5+ years of experience in Purchasing
- Ability to read drawings, understand technical specifications, MIL-SPEC, NSNs and other governing laws or regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (box of copy paper). Must be able to work on concrete floors that may be uneven
- Standing, stooping, bending, stretching throughout shift
- Must be able to safely use warehouse equipment, climb ladders and load and unload delivery vehicles
