Job Summary

A psychiatric hospital has an open position for a Remote Behavioral Health Care Manager in the Los Angeles Area.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing telephone triage, crisis intervention and emergency authorizations
  • Providing information to members and providers regarding mental health and substance abuse benefits
  • Performing concurrent reviews for inpatient and/or outpatient care

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum 2 years experience post degree in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric and/or substance abuse health care
  • Independent behavioral health licensure to practice in the State of CA
  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in behavioral health related field
  • Ability to use computer systems
  • Ability to analyze specific utilization problems, plan and implement solutions
