Job Summary
A translation company is seeking a Remote Bilingual English and Serbian Experienced Audio Medical Interpreter.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Providing effective audio remote interpreting service for consumers
- Participating in ongoing quality assurance and call monitoring programs
- Adhering to interpreter ethical standards and procedural requirements specific to interpreting context (i.e. hospital, courts, schools, etc.)
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Fluent and have strong verbal communication skills in both the source and target language
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of audio medical interpreting experience
- Must have a strong aptitude in customer service and medical interpreting
- Respect for and understanding of our Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients, culture, dialect and beliefs and preferences
- Extensive knowledge of code of ethics and standards of practice (IMIA, NBCMI and NCIHC)
- Familiarity with the medical profession and its privacy laws (HIPAA)
