Job Summary

A non profit organization needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Bilingual Haitian Kreyol Language and Education Specialist.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Editing scripts, supplemental materials, and other educational content with a keen eye to the nuances of Kreyòl
• Translating and/or adapting materials from English to Haitian Kreyòl (and the reverse)
• Supporting the development of educational frameworks and curricular materials for the project

Qualifications Include:

• Advanced degree in linguistics or related field or commensurate experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the linguistics and grammar of Haitian Kreyòl
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Haitian education system
• Experience as a classroom teacher, preferably in primary grade levels in Haiti
• Experience developing high-quality educational media for children
• Commitment to providing high-quality service through responsiveness to all requests and maintaining a professional demeanor
