Job Summary

A biotechnology company has an open position for a Remote Bioinformatics Scientist III.

Must be able to:

• Work alongside the assay development team to identify and design novel applications
• Develop novel algorithms
• Design scalable, maintainable, and well-tested commercial grade algorithms and software

Position Requirements Include:

• 5+ years of professional bioinformatics experience
• M.S. or Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computer science or related field
• Understanding of PCR, NGS, cancer genetics, and population genetics
• Proficiency with Python, Git and standard NGS bioinformatics tools
• Experience in creating robust machine learning/statistical models using biological data
• Demonstrated scientific problem-solving skills
