Job Summary

A leading provider of medical coding support is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Cardiothoracic Surgery Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing and abstracting patient medical records to assign diagnosis treatments
• Ensuring that all services documented in the patient’ s medical record are coded
• Entering data into client software and/or Excel reports

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Must be a certified coder through AHIMA or AAPC
• 5+ years’ experience required coding for cardiothoracic surgery for abstraction coding
• Requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Epic, and 3M
• Requires advanced technical knowledge in specific surgical and medical specialties as assigned
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience in researching and applying coding rules and regulations
