Job Summary

A staffing and recruitment firm is filling a position for a Remote CDI Specialist in Rochester.

Must be able to:

• Review patient medical records in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting to capture accurate representation of the severity of illness
• Validate that coding reflects the medical necessity of services and facilitates appropriate coding
• Document discharge diagnoses and co-morbidities are a complete reflection of the patient's clinical status and care

Required Skills:

• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) OR Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification required
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) OR Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
• OR Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P)
• OR Registered Nurse (RN) OR completion of the international or domestic medical program
• 3 or more years of CDI experience in a large healthcare system
• Experience working with EPIC required. 3M 360 OR Optum experience also required
