Job Summary
A health information technology company has a current position open for a Remote Clinical Coder.
Must be able to:
- Review of medical records as needed
- Work population of clinical pends, with goal to clear within 72 hours
- Review training test scores and send feedback if necessary
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Attending professional seminars, workshops and conference as required by AAPC and/or AHIMA
- Current Coding Certification (CPC, CPC-P, CPC-H, CPC-I, CRC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA etc) through AAPC and/or AHIMA
- 5 years coding experience with specific knowledge of Medicare and Commercial Risk Adjustment
- Advanced skills utilizing official coding resources for research and problem solving
- Stay up-to-date with Risk/IVA protocols (coding clinics, coding guidelines)
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and pharmacology
