Job Summary
A molecular genetics laboratory needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Clinical Scientist II.
Must be able to:
- Analyze results for clinical correlation and variant pathogenicity
- Assess and classify complex variants
- Review medical literature to write gene summaries for characterized genes
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ph.D. in molecular biology, genetics, or related field or M.S. in molecular biology, genetics, or related field
- Good understanding of Sanger and next-generation sequencing technologies
- Ability to evaluate complex genetic information
- Capable of accomplishing workload and additional projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively, to prioritize work, and to maintain a high level of organization
- Ability and desire to work in fast paced environment
