Job Summary
A health information management services copmpany is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Coding Manager.
Must be able to:
- Take primary responsibility for all daily operations at Customer site
- Provide employees with timely communication in response to Customer related issues
- Monitor workflow, productivity and quality at all Customer sites
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certified
- Bachelor's degree in either Health Information Management or Healthcare Administration
- 2+ years of coding management experience with DoD medical coding, specifically for the Outpatient Medical Coding areas
- Extensive knowledge for understanding and applying both civilian and MHS official coding clinic/guidelines
- Knowledge of medical terminology and usage, including general medical, surgical, pharmaceutical, hospital terms and abbreviations and abstracting techniques
- Knowledge of broad range of references such as the ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, medical dictionaries, and manual related to coding textbooks and glossaries
