Job Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Represents eXp Realty as a front-line organization to assist agents and brokers with their Real Estate transactions. World-class customer service/experience is required for every interaction, with strong problem-solving skills, empathy, and urgency to every engagement.

The Compliance Payment Specialist is responsible for the organization and preparation of transaction documents to facilitate transaction effectiveness and efficiency. They will also be responsible for the review of all contracts, addendums, notices, and agreements created as a result of our representation of eXp clients and customers.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Work within cloud-based real estate transaction management platforms
Organize transaction documents
Check both platforms for the accuracy of file information
Complete daily tasks in a timely efficient manner
Assist Agents with payment processing management platform and commission disbursement questions
Assist Brokers for document review and reminders of the status of the file to fulfill
Communicate and answer Agent questions in a timely manner
Performs contract review to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactions
Effectively and promptly communicates with agents regarding deficiencies in documents and providing explanation and assistance
Works hand-in-hand with the Designated Managing Broker(s) by supporting efforts to ensure compliance.
Able to audit incoming settlement statements to verify documents match Enterprise and also settle the file.
Able to work with the agents to identify errors on the files and work with the agents (before closing) and outside agencies (title companies after closing) to resolve settlement issues.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education:
BA/AA strongly preferred
High School Diploma/GED required

Experience
1+ years of relevant experience in real estate transaction process with a focus on delivering a world-class customer service/experience
1+ years of experience in contract review
Real estate experience in Transaction Contract Management required
SkySlope experience preferred
Must have active NY real estate license and live in NYC or surrounding area
Familiarity with the NYC rental market and 5 borough area a plus
Continuing education credits in real estate, management and legal compliance strongly preferred
A keen interest in, and experience in real estate compliance activities to include a thorough knowledge and understanding of legal obligations of real estate professionals under the state and federal law and in accordance with local MLS/Board Rules and Regulations
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization
Highly collaborative and capable of working with internal partners to facilitate successful results
Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using good judgment
Possess the highest degree of integrity
Ability to read and interpret documents including real estate contracts, leases, and settlement statements
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well with agents
