Job Summary

A business services company has an open position for a Remote Data Services Technical Leader.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Partnering with Data Strategist and Data Architects to deliver analytics projects
  • Enriching, defining and enforcing governance standards to mitigate against entropy via continual operational excellence
  • Driving data engineer empowerment in strategic business unit development groups

Qualifications Include:

  • Experience in systems development and planning methodologies for executing application development
  • Experience with Big Data processing frameworks and tools (Cloudera, Sqoop, Hive, Impala, Spark)
  • Experience with cloud technologies and services, specifically around Amazon Web Services (AWS) data processing
  • Experience software development on a team using Agile methodology
  • Experience in implementing automated testing for large scale data platforms
  • Experience with DevOps tools and techniques (e.g continuous integration, Jenkins, Puppet, etc)
