Job Summary

A media production company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Data Visualization Developer in Houston.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Building static and interactive graphics and news apps for quick-turn stories and larger projects
  • Designing and building digital- and mobile-first presentations for news stories and analyses

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Experience building web experiences for desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Knowledge of at least one frontend framework
  • Comfort with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and relevant code libraries
  • Experience working in a newsroom or on journalism projects
  • Working knowledge of Git and Github
  • Ability to self-manage and handle multiple projects and fast deadlines
