Job Summary

A nonprofit community health center needs applicants for an opening for a Remote DC Cares Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Receiving additional information (or documents, as needed) from applicants and update their database entries
  • Communicating denials and reason for ineligibility directly with callers
  • Conducting proactive outreach via phone/text/email to reach eligible DC CARE applicants for processing assigned on a daily or weekly basis

Qualifications Include:

  • Strong proficiency with technology, including experiences entering information into databases and using apps or platforms for team and/or client communication (WhatsApp, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams)
  • Demonstrated professional customer service experience; Previous call-center or phone-banking experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual candidates with verbal and written proficiency in a language other than English are preferred, ideally Spanish, Amharic, Vietnamese, Chinese, or French speakers
