Job Summary

An educational technology development company has an open position for a Remote Deputy General Counsel.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Support all aspects of Amplify’s growing business and drive forward our strategic legal and compliance initiatives
• Lead support and design of company practices, policies and oversight efforts to facilitate corporate compliance
• Advise on compliance matters, including privacy and security, accessibility, political law, ethics, employment, marketing, and antitrust

Required Skills:

• JD from ABA-accredited law school and current membership in New York Bar (or able to satisfy all New York Bar admission on motion without examination requirements)
• 5-7 years of transactional experience at an AmLaw firm
• AND/OR 3-5 years of experience in-house as a corporate generalist or compliance professional
• Proven written and verbal communication skills including the ability to explain complex issues in a clear manner to all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated experience as a motivated attorney who has the ability and confidence to work independently
