Job Summary

Please note: Experience in developing provider networks in the Worker's Compensation arena is needed.

EK Health is seeking a goal-oriented and driven individual with exceptional provider data management and contracting experience to lead our Provider Network Team. As the Director of Provider Network Management, the successful candidate will oversee physician, clinic, and facility network operations, including: contract negotiation strategies, successful contract implementation, credentialing and the monitoring of third-party relationships.

Summary of Role:

The Director of Provider Network Management is responsible for developing and implementing a plan to recruit, contract, educate and retain a comprehensive network of participating providers to support the needs of current and future customers. Provides strategic and operational management of Provider Networks. This team is also responsible for the onboarding process from contract to credentialing for our provider network.

Work Specifics: Standard, eight (8) hour workday, Monday-Friday, remote

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of the network development and provider recruiting teams
  • Establish strategic provider recruitment goals and measure performance
  • Takes responsibility for successful, quality and cost-effective network solutions
  • Provide guidance to cultivate and foster long-term provider retention
  • Manages the provider requests and recruitment projects to ensure results are achieved
  • Prioritizes workload to ensure project deadlines are met, working with the functional business units to re-prioritize requests as needed
  • Manages provider onboarding training completed by Network team
  • Provides routine training, development and coaching of the recruitment team with a focus on provider quality, provider pricing, department goals and provider customer service
  • Assists the Provider Network Credentialing Specialists, as needed
  • Provides reporting to all key functional business units on recruitment activities and success
  • Maintains and ensures the accuracy of provider records in all databases
  • Achieves targeted goals for network growth and provider retention
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Requirements
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Network Development or related field or equivalent combination or experience and education
  • Three (3) plus years of experience in Network Development
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation needed
  • Additional experience in Managed Care and/or Provider Services preferred
  • Two (2) plus years supervisory and provider contracting experience required
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work with a remote team
  • Must be well organized
  • Professional demeanor with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be computer literate with a high comfort level with computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Email and Internet)
  • Knowledge of general credentialing procedures
  • Intermediate Medical terminology
  • Must be accurate and efficient
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Able to multi-task and maintain focus and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high pressure, time sensitive environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Physical Requirements:

    Candidate must be able to sit the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must be able to keyboard the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must have manual dexterity. Candidate must be able to speak on the telephone intermittently throughout the day. Candidate must be able to read and write English fluently. Candidate must be able to provide and confirm safe home office environment. Home office must be HIPAA compliant.
