Job Summary

A healthcare consulting firm has an open position for a Remote ED Coder in Long Beach.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Provide review and/or coding of any professional services
• Review and assist in updates of coding dictionaries/encounter forms/charge slips
• Periodic review of codes, at least annually or as introduced or required

Qualifications Include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Specialized training associated with attainment of a recognized Coding Certificate
• 3+ years experience in ED Coding
• AAPC Certified CPC
• Strong computer skills
• Stays updated and current on CMS, AMA and Local Coverage Determinations
