Job Summary
A staffing agency needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Epidemiology Case Investigator.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Gathering information about symptoms, exposures, and identifying others
- Communicating with contacts in a professional and empathic manner
- Ascertaining whether a case is part of a group at high risk of transmission or severe disease
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with major course work in public health, epidemiology or related field or comparable experience
- Knowledge of public health practices, communicable diseases, disease control, and epidemiologic methods
- Ability to manage, compile, analyze, and present data
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing with diverse audiences
- Ability to work with a variety of computer software packages
- An understanding of patient confidentiality, including the ability to conduct interviews without violating confidentiality
