Job Summary

A software development company has an open position for a Remote Field DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer.

Must be able to:

  • Respond to escalation before engagement happens by generating marketing and sales collateral like benchmarks and educational articles and content;
  • Respond to escalation in the pre-sales process by ensuring that proof-of-concepts are successful
  • Respond to escalation in the post-sales process handling challenging customer issues when escalation is required

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Systems Administration, DevOps, Network Administration in a Linux based environment
  • Experience with containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, swarm) is also a plus
  • Experience in Database Administration – SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, MS-SQL) and NoSQL
  • Experience in one or more of: Java, Python, C, C++, Go, Scala.(Scylla, Cassandra, MongoDB etc) is preferred
  • Proven uncontrollable urge to investigate and solve problems, with advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness and ability to get help from team members when required, and the good judgment to know when to seek help
