Job Summary

A financial company is in need of a Remote Financial Data Scientist in Hoover.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Working with large, structured, and un-structured datasets
  • Using Big Data tools (Hadoop, Spark, H2O, CDSW, Domino Labs, etc.) to build data analytics solutions
  • Building machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) models from development through testing and validation

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree and six years of experience or
  • Master’s degree and four years of experience or
  • Ph.D. and two years of experience in a quantitative/analytical/STEM field
  • Two years of working experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Artificial Intelligence
  • Two years of working programming experience in Python, Ruby, R, Matlab, Scala, or Java
  • One year of working experience in Big Data Technology in Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, or Kafka
