Job Summary

A health insurance company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Genetic Counselor Reviewer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Medical directors to review and make recommendations regarding medical necessity of genetic test requests
  • Receive pre-authorization requests from front-line intake
  • Conduct initial medical necessity clinical screening

Position Requirements Include:

  • Master’s Degree in Genetic Counseling, and/or MS or PhD in Human Genetics, Molecular Biology, or equivalent education & expertise
  • ABGC board-certified
  • Active licensure in the state of residence, if applicable
  • 3+ years of experience in clinical genetics and/or diagnostic laboratory
