Job Summary
A private hospital operator has a current position open for a Remote HCC Medical Coder in Phoenix.
Must be able to:
- Understand HCC Coding rules, regulations and methodology
- Accurately and efficiently conduct medical record review/abstraction services
- Communicate with physicians and office staff on records needed for chart chases
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Working on site as necessary for additional training and on-going education
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology/major disease processes/pharmacology
- Knowledge of CMS and Commercial Health Plans
- Understanding etiology, pathology, signs and symptoms, diagnostic studies and treatment modalities
- At least 3 years of coding experience
