Job Summary
A healthcare revenue cycle management company is filling a position for a Remote Healthcare Specialty Surgical Certified Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing and analyzing patient records according to current compliance policies and providers documents are compliant
- Assigning and sequencing appropriately ICD-10 and CPT codes and all applicable modifiers
- Contacting clients as appropriate when documentation in the medical record is inadequate, ambiguous or unclear for coding purposes
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Nationally recognized coding credential including, but not limited to CPC, COC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA or RHIT through AHIMA/AAPC
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of all or a combination of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Understands fully the requirements to meet HIPPA regulations
