Job Summary

A not-for-profit healthcare system has a current position open for a Remote HIM Specialist.

Must be able to:

  • Master and perform all specified operational and technical level jobs within the department
  • Be accountable for varying daily assignment to cover jobs during peak production, vacations, vacancies and extended medical leave
  • Assist management in organizing activities, assisting with training of new associates, chart certification and special projects

Qualifications Include:

  • Associate's Degree in Health information area (RHIA, RHIT) OR
  • 2 or 4 year college or university in Health Information or related field
  • 2- 3 years Experience
  • Personal computing Experience, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Imaging Processes
  • Knowledge of release of information pertaining to federal/state regulations and laws
