Job Summary

A healthcare company is seeking a Remote Hospital Inpatient Coder in Decatur.

Must be able to:

• Assign ICD-9 and/or ICD-10 codes with the highest level of accuracy
• Ensure accuracy of DRGs and appropriate extraction of core data
• Facilitate accurate data for patient acuity, severity of illness, and quality outcomes

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Travel may be required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years inpatient coding in acute care environment
• Must complete coding proficiency evaluation
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of MS-DRGs
• Must have CCS, RHIA, or RHIT
