Job Summary

A managed healthcare and insurance company is in need of a Remote Hospital Outpatient Medical Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Entering accurate charge information, when appropriate
  • Assigning accurate diagnostic and procedure codes according to clinical documentation
  • Reviewing HCPCS charges and codes for appropriateness of modifiers in relation to NCCI/CCI edits, when appropriate

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC
  • Stays abreast of all changes in coding conventions and coding updates
