Job Summary

A healthcare company is seeking a Remote Hospital Specialty Inpatient Coder in Milwaukee.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Coding research cases and complex inpatient or cardiac and interventional radiology procedures
• Sequencing diagnoses and procedure codes
• Reviewing all provider documentation

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• 5 years of experience in coding in an acute health care academic environment
• Expert knowledge of ICD and PCS coding systems and MS-DRGs
• Expert knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pathophysiology
• Advanced knowledge of pharmacology indications for drug usage and related adverse reactions
• May need advanced knowledge of cardiac body structure and function
• Intermediate computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office or similar applications
