Job Summary

A company that delivers medical coding and medical coding compliance services has an open position for a Remote Hospitalist Internalist Medical Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Providing high quality E/M and diagnosis coding for a hospitalist group at a large facility
• Providing education to providers related to coding and documentation
• Abstracting inpatient medical records from Powerchart

Required Skills:

• Current CPC or equivalent through the AAPC or AHIMA
• 2 years of active E/M coding experience in hospitalist or internal medicine physician coding
• Experience must include coding POS 21 and 22, and must be able to code all types of E/M visits
• Must be able to maintain a 95% accuracy rate across CPT coding, modifier coding and ICD-10 coding
• Inpatient and outpatient E/M pro-fee coding experience
• Own computer with a Professional Windows Based Operating System and dual monitors
