Job Summary
A community healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Hosptial Coding Auditor in Atlanta.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting prebill and retrospective reviews of selected accounts
- Insuring that compliance with current coding guidelines and regulatory standards arebeing met
- Identifying potential documentation,coding and reimbursement issues
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience with medical record chart review
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Health Information Management, Business, or other health care related field
- Certified in at least one: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CIC or COC
- 3 years of hospital-based inpatient/outpatient services coding experience required
- 5 years of comparable hospital coding experience may be substituted for an Associate's degree
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel software in a Windows environment
