Job Summary
A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Inpatient and Surgical Coder.
Must be able to:
- Analyze medical information from medical records
- Accurately code diagnostic and procedural information
- Seek out missing information and create complete records
Qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Must having required coding certifications CCS, CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, AHIMA, or AAPC
- Knowledge and understanding of ICD and/or CPT coding principles
- 3+ years of experience providing coding services for a broad range of hospital and acute care facilities
- Must be able to achieve an acceptable accuracy rate on the coding test
- Must be able to work effectively with common office software and coding software and abstracting systems
