Job Summary
A staffing agency is filling a position for a Remote Inpatient Coder in Irving.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing records for the determination of accurate assignment of diagnoses and procedures
- Achieving accuracy and consistency in the selection of principal and secondary diagnoses
- Meeting and/or exceeding coding productivity guidelines
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 1-3 years’ performing medical record coding in acute care setting
- High school graduate or equivalent
- AHIMA or AAPC approved credential
- Knowledge of MS-DRG classification and reimbursement structures
- Working knowledge of Value Based Purchasing (VBP)
